Description

Sweet, salty, crunchy praline snack mix with Crispix cereal and pecans—perfect for parties, gifts, or anytime treats.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 cups Crispix cereal (or your favorite crunchy cereal)
  • 2 cups pecan halves (or a mix of your favorite nuts)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the Crispix cereal and pecan halves. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the light brown sugar, light corn syrup, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • Once boiling, allow the mixture to boil for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat and carefully stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract. The mixture will bubble up slightly.
  • Pour the hot praline mixture over the cereal and pecans. Gently stir until the cereal and nuts are evenly coated.
  • Spread the coated mixture onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating and baking.
  • After 1 hour, remove from the oven and let the Praline Crunch cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, break into clusters and store in an airtight container.
