Ingredients

Scale

For the Breadsticks:

  • 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder (optional)
  • Salt, to taste

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup thinly sliced cooked beef or steak tips
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

For Serving:

  • Marinara sauce or queso cheese dip

Instructions

Preheat & Prepare:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

Roll Out the Dough:

  • Lightly flour a surface and roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle.

Prepare the Garlic Oil:

  • Mix olive oil and minced garlic in a bowl. Brush evenly over the dough.

Layer the Fillings:

  • Sprinkle grated Parmesan and half of the shredded provolone (or mozzarella) over the dough.
  • Evenly spread the thinly sliced beef on top.
  • Season with garlic powder, oregano, and salt.

Fold & Cut the Dough:

  • Fold the dough over the filling and press down gently to seal.
  • Using a pizza cutter, slice into strips.

Twist & Arrange:

  • Twist each strip into a spiral and place on the baking sheet.
  • Sprinkle with remaining cheese and a dash of chili powder (if using).

Bake:

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Serve:

  • Enjoy warm with marinara sauce or queso dip.

Notes

  • Dough Options: You can use store-bought or homemade pizza dough. If using frozen dough, let it thaw completely before rolling.
  • Cheese Variations: Provolone adds an authentic Philly cheesesteak flavor, but mozzarella or a mix of cheeses works well too.
  • Beef Selection: Thinly sliced ribeye or leftover steak makes the best filling. You can also use roast beef for a quicker option.
