Cinnamon sugar-coated French toast bites—crisp outside, fluffy inside, perfect for brunch, dipping in syrup, or fun finger-food breakfasts.
Ingredients
4 thick slices white bread, crusts removed and cut into cubes
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon sugar (for egg mixture)
2 tablespoons butter, for frying
Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional for serving:
Maple syrup
Whipped cream or yogurt
Instructions
Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, and 1 tablespoon sugar in a medium bowl.
Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small separate bowl.
Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Dip bread cubes in egg mixture; let excess drip off.
Cook in batches for 3–4 minutes, turning until golden. Add more butter as needed.
Roll warm cubes in cinnamon sugar to coat.
Serve with maple syrup, whipped cream, or yogurt if desired.
Notes
Brioche or challah works great for richer flavor.
Serve in a bowl with dipping sauce for parties or brunch platters.
Best eaten fresh, but can be reheated in the oven for crispiness
