Description

Golden, buttery, and packed with crunchy pecans, Honey Butter Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread is pure Southern comfort in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

    Instructions

    1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy release.
    2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and cinnamon. Whisk until well blended.
    3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, honey, milk, and vanilla extract. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring until just combined.
    4. Fold in the chopped pecans, being careful not to overmix.
    5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
    6. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
    7. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

      Notes

      • Use Fresh Pecans – For the best flavor and crunch, opt for fresh, high-quality pecans to enhance the nutty richness.

      • Don’t Skip the Honey Butter – Brushing warm honey butter over the bread right out of the oven adds extra moisture and a deliciously sweet finish.

      • Perfect for Any Occasion – Whether for breakfast, dessert, or a cozy afternoon treat, this bread pairs beautifully with a cup of coffee or tea.
