Description

Tender crockpot chicken smothered in creamy 3-ingredient gravy—easy comfort food! Perfect over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 to 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can unsalted cream of chicken soup

  • 2 (0.87 oz) packets chicken gravy mix

  • Optional: ½ to 1 cup water or chicken broth (for thinner gravy)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Cooked rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  • Prepare Chicken:

    • Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.

    • Season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.

  • Make Gravy Mixture:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together cream of chicken soup and gravy mix.

    • Add water or broth if you prefer a thinner consistency and whisk until smooth.

  • Slow Cook:

    • Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken.

    • Cover and cook on LOW for 4–6 hours or until chicken is tender and fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/74°C).

  • Shred and Serve:

    • Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.

    • Stir well so the shredded chicken is coated in the gravy.

    • Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.

Notes

  • Add a dash of garlic powder, onion powder, or seasoned salt for extra flavor.

  • You can also use chicken thighs for a richer texture.

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
