- 1 (10.5-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 8 ounces sour cream
- 1 (1.4-ounce) packet French onion soup mix
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 (6-ounce) box dry stuffing mix (e.g., Stovetop® Savory Herb Stuffing Mix)
- 3/4 cup chicken broth
- 5 tablespoons butter, sliced into 8 to 10 pieces
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Lightly grease a casserole dish and place the chicken breasts in a single layer.
- In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and French onion soup mix. Spread evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle with black pepper.
- Evenly distribute the dry stuffing mix over the soup layer. Pour chicken broth over the stuffing to moisten.
- Dot the top with butter slices. Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake an additional 20 minutes, until the stuffing is golden brown and the chicken is fully cooked.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving, if desired.
