Description

Cream Cheese Churro Roll-Ups A crispy, golden, cinnamon-sugar treat with a rich, creamy filling and sweet flavor. Perfect for dessert lovers

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • 8 slices white bread, crusts removed

Instructions

Preheat Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Prepare Cream Cheese Filling: 2. In a medium bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Set aside.

Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: 3. In a shallow bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Flatten the Bread: 4. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of white bread until thin.

Assemble Rollups: 5. Spread a heaping tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each flattened bread slice, covering the surface evenly.
6. Roll up each slice tightly to form a log.

Coat Rollups: 7. Dip each roll into the melted butter, ensuring all sides are coated.
8. Immediately roll each buttered roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture, covering all sides.

Bake: 9. Place the coated rollups seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve: 11. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
12. Enjoy warm or at room temperature. Optionally, serve with caramel sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Use Softened Cream Cheese – Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy spreading and a smooth, creamy filling.
  • Fry Until Golden – Cook on medium heat to achieve a perfectly crispy texture without burning the cinnamon-sugar coating.
