No-bake Chocolate Cookie Dough Bars blend the classic taste of cookie dough with rich chocolate, creating an indulgent treat for any occasion.
Ingredients
For the Cookie Dough Layer:
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour (heat-treated; see note)
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
For the Chocolate Topping:
1½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
Make the Cookie Dough Layer:
Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Mix in vanilla and salt.
Gradually add heat-treated flour until combined.
Add milk and stir to a smooth dough.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Press into a parchment-lined 9×9-inch pan.
Prepare the Chocolate Topping:
Melt chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
Spread evenly over the cookie dough layer.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
Slice into squares or bars and serve chilled or at room temp.
Notes
- Heat-treat flour by baking it on a sheet at 350°F (175°C) for 5–7 minutes to make it safe for no-bake recipes.
