  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry-flavored gelatin powder
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Pie Crust:

    • Preheat oven according to the pie crust package instructions.
    • Prick the bottom and sides of the frozen crust with a fork to prevent bubbling.
    • Bake as directed until golden brown, then cool completely.
  • Make the Strawberry Glaze:

    • In a medium saucepan, whisk together water, sugar, and cornstarch until dissolved.
    • Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    • Cook until thickened and translucent (about 2-3 minutes).
