- 2 slices of bread
- Cheddar or mozzarella cheese
- Pepperoni slices
- 2–3 tablespoons pizza sauce or passata
- 1 tablespoon tomato purée
- ½ teaspoon garlic (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian dry herbs
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the pizza sauce, tomato purée, garlic, and Italian herbs.
- Spread the sauce mixture evenly over both slices of bread.
- Top with cheese and pepperoni slices.
- To prevent the pepperoni from blowing off in the air fryer, secure them with cocktail sticks.
- Air fry at 180°C (350°F) for about 7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the cocktail sticks and serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes
- For extra crispiness, lightly butter the outer sides of the bread.
- Add olives, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra toppings.
- Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping.
